New direct flights by IndiGo are launched between Mumbai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Starting on September 22, 2022, IndiGo, the top airline in India, will operate new, daily direct flights between Mumbai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Ras Al Khaimah is the 11th location in the Middle East and 100th worldwide in the 6E network. The Gulf Cooperation Council also selected Ras Al Khaimah the Gulf Tourism Capital for 2020 and 2021.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport’s operator and managing body greeted the arrival of the first IndiGo flight from Mumbai.

As it rolled up to the terminal, the aircraft was saluted with a ceremonial water cannon salute. Mr. Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, who travelled in the inaugural flight to Ras Al Khaimah, was welcomed by Engr. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Mr. Atanasios Titonis, Chief Executive Officer of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, and Mr. Stanislav Bujnovsky, Director – Commercial & Business Development.

The chief executive of IndiGo, Mr. Pieter Elbers, stated, “We are delighted to launch this first direct link between Mumbai and Ras Al-Khaimah.

This is IndiGo’s 100th location inside the 6E network and our fourth Emirate. Ras Al-Khaimah, renowned for its vibrant agricultural surroundings, is concentrating on leading sustainable tourism in the region, which is consistent with our entire focus on sustainability.

IndiGo already provides unmatched service to 74 cities and villages across the vast and diverse country of India. As intended in IndiGo’s plan, this new route, which has been enthusiastically embraced by both authorities and passengers, improves connectivity in the area even further.
