The Ain Shams University Faculty of Science hosted a symposium with the theme “October Victory Crossing to the Future” under the direction of Dr. Mohamed Ragaa El-Sutohy, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of Dr. Amany Soliman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Iman Abdel Azim, Vice Dean College for Education and Student Affairs.

In his inauguration address, Dr. Muhammad Ragaa Al-Sutohi, the college’s dean, said that students must draw lessons from the October Victory War. Dr. Abdel Rahman Badr El-Din Abdel Ghaffar discussed some of the bravery of Egyptian pilots, which was evidence of the bravery of the Egyptian Air Force and the commando operations carried out by these pilots in the face of the Israeli enemy.

He also reviewed some of the key details of the war, including how the Egyptian army managed to cross 60,000 Egyptian soldiers on the first night of the conflict and infiltrate 20 kilometres east of the Canal.

Along with Dr. Islam addressing the crowd, images of the battle’s key moments and triumph were shown, and the Egyptian flag was raised in Sinai.

At the end of the day’s events, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa, the college’s dean, said that the Egyptian people still did not know many acts of bravery, but that they will be made known during the yearly commemoration of the October Victory War.
